i think its unfair why have a vote then the admin make the pick out of three people?
why not the members vote stand highest vote wins?
if the admin did not like you
you would not stand a chance to win.

Even if I kind of agree with you, it must be administration choosing moderators they want.
To be honest with you I don't even think this is about moderating the board but about having fun. To be nominated as Moderator is just an extra, like it could have been a trip to the Caribbean as final prize.

If nominating a moderator is a big deal for some of you we can always rethink the final prize. It was only to motivate members participating in this event.

Ultimately, the administrators have the final say in any decision regarding the site. It is theirs, after all. All of the members who got moved into the moderator group were suggested by members of the board, the admins just picked the ones out of those suggested that they thought were the best for the job.

I'm currently working on a project for this myself. I'm just having trouble finding the time to work on it. I should be able to meet the deadline but, if not I'll still release it. I'm really excited about it. I think it will be the first of it's kind.

If we don't get any participation in the next 2 weeks we will be forced to close this event for obvious reasons.
