Hope someone out there on hh has some knowledge and experience with workstation setups!

 

I'm looking for a pretty beastly workstation pc (needs to be portable ish..) or laptop for quick on site work for video rendering/editing and CAD animation rendering. I normally use cloud services for this but I'm looking for a local solution when I am with clients to give quick mockups.

 

Any ideas on good parts or complete systems. 

 

In regard to laptop workstations I have heard good things about the new(ish) dell ones but am sceptical as I owned one of the old versions of it (the paving slab model).

 

Any high end HP pc owners around?
